When I was a little girl we had a book in our home (I think it was Laura's) titled, Turtles Turn Up On Tuesday. We all loved that book. If I remember correctly, it was about a brother and sister that had a pet turtle that got lost in the house and couldn't be found anywhere! As you can guess, the turtle was found on a Tuesday.
Well, my children were in the backyard playing yesterday(Tuesday) and came running in the house telling me that they are our neighbor children had "found a HUGE turtle" and that I needed to come see it. I was busy cooking dinner so I decided to look out the window. They were right...it was HUGE! The biggest backyard turtle that I'd ever seen!
I took the camera out to capture the moment. Jacob and our neighbor, Hayden, posed for a picture with the turtle.
I'm not sure where the turtle is now, but next Tuesday I'm going outside to look for it!

Hey, Really neat memory but look closely. Mr. Turtle is a snapping turtle. Probably washed up in your backyard dithc aka the creek. OUCH !!! Love, Mom and Dad
Yes, it was a snapping turtle. Hayden's dad got a long stick and had the turtle snap at it. Boy did he! Glad it wasn't my finger!
